Is it possible?

We have read and been told many love stories since our childhood. "Leili and Majnun" and "Shirin and Farhad" are the famous ones in Persian culture. Similarly, other cultures have their own. There have been lots of books and movies, in which the story is about the special connection of two people who want to be together. In most cases, after a short introduction on their acquaintance, a 'painful' love forms. By that I mean, somehow, two sides have to go through number of difficulties and suffer a hard time in order to reach each other. And, sometimes even no love would be fulfilled at the end, which is the case for the memorable ones. Why lover and the beloved have to bear so much pain? Can not love be a perfect and everlasting one without this? Would not that be an enjoyable relationship if two people just think of their mutual life and help the problems get solved?
