Persian Gulf

Persian Gulf NOT Arabian GulfIs it the Arab's money or the weak political position of Iran? Why we are not successful in preventing them from changing the history? Here is again a new map by National Geographic that not only uses the fake name of "Arabian Gulf" in brackets near Persian Gulf (like this is another alternative!!!), but also refers to the triple islands as "occupied by Iran (claimed by UAE)". This is totally ridiculous and any educated person would laugh to hear about such a childish attempt to impose new terms for the region. I mean it is like calling the "Gulf of Mexico" as "Gulf of the States" which is shared among them! Future will judge all these unethical behavior of Arab countries around the Persian Gulf and I hope there are wise people among them who try not to be ashamed later.

UPDATE (Nov 11, 11:55 pm): I can not believe that National Geographic just corrected its mistake! They, however, have written another sentence saying "Historically and most commonly known as Persian Gulf, this body of water is referred to by some as Arabian Gulf". This is another mistake! They have to replace this with "...is incorrectly referred to by some as Arabian Gulf".

I am really tired of writing it to NG, Google, ... It is getting boring, and I do not know what to do... ofcourse, I do not have any opinion exept that I think to have your rights reserved by the others, you should reserve the other's rights... I think we are in standing in an equation that we want everything for ourselves

while not giving any right to the world... I think we are misunderstanding the concepts of political relations... you get with one hand if you give with your other hand... Many truths are discovered after long period of life... Reality shows itself, but usually very late... I am not sure if this is the price we should pay for it... Being lonely and miss lots of opportunities for a silly Truth...

Amazing comments!
Hamed your words are of great value! but unfortunately not everybody agrees, because of the many reasons that we all know.

Aali's attention to the matter is very passionately set which is very admirable too.

Hamed jan, thank you for your comment. I totally agree that the international diplomacy and foreign politics are reciprocal and mutual matters. However, whoever gains most by giving the less is the "winner" or at least this give-gain thing should be equal. I am, therefore, not sure it is a good idea to loose our identity to gain something. That is a big loss. There are many other ways to become powerful and talk from a strong position and make the best of many international opportunities. The fact that Iranian government does not wisely use these methods, does not justify sacrifing something like Persian Gulf or triple islands. Looking back to the history, we lost many parts of our land. What did we gain? Don't feel bored or tired. There is always something sweet at the end!
